As\u00ed lo dio a conocer la Federaci\u00f3n Costarricense de Beisbol donde menciona que Joel Fuentes liderar\u00e1 Selecci\u00f3n Mayor y la U-23 respectivamente. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Para conocer m\u00e1s detalles, Joel Fuentes ha formalizado su compromiso con la Federaci\u00f3n Costarricense de Beisbol y parte de su trabajo es preparar a los seleccionados Mayor y U-23, ambas con fogueos internacionales en los Juegos Centroamericanos y el Campeonato Panamericano. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La firma se llev\u00f3 a cabo en las instalaciones de la academia de los Piratas en Rep\u00fablica Dominicana, donde se hicieron presentes los se\u00f1ores Rub\u00e9n Araya, presidente de la Comisi\u00f3n de Selecciones, y Jorge Delgado, director de Selecciones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Araya, quien adem\u00e1s es vicepresidente de la Federaci\u00f3n que preside Adri\u00e1n Alfaro, se mostr\u00f3 muy complacido con la firma y manifest\u00f3:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEste es un esfuerzo que hacemos para darle un impulso a la Selecci\u00f3n Nacional con la finalidad de iniciar una nueva era con objetivos m\u00e1s ambiciosos y mejor orientados<\/em>\u00ab. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joel trabaj\u00f3 durante 17 a\u00f1os como coach de Ligas Menores de los Mets de Nueva York. Actualmente es el m\u00e1nager de los Piratas de Pittsburgh en la DSL. Tambi\u00e9n ha sido m\u00e1nager campe\u00f3n en la Liga Invernal de Nicaragua, con Los Gigantes de Rivas y el B\u00f3er.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fuentes ha elegido como asistentes a Rafael Montalvo, como coach de lanzadores (quien realiz\u00f3 ese trabajo para los Rays de Tampa), y como entrenador principal a Eduardo \u201cUchi\u201d Galarza, quien tiene experiencia en campeonatos mundiales y panamericanos con la Selecci\u00f3n de Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
