Andrey Amador regres\u00f3 al ciclismo, esto tras una larga espera y recuperaci\u00f3n por el accidente sufrido durante el pasado mes de febrero del presente a\u00f1o 2026 donde el pa\u00eds estuvo bastante preocupado por la salud y recuperaci\u00f3n del ciclista nacional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sin embargo, el tiempo y el proceso de recuperaci\u00f3n de Amador ha sido bastante bueno y con ello tuvo un gran regreso durante la prueba Volcano 100 el cual hizo presencia en una  e-bike, acompa\u00f1ado por su esposa, Laura Seg\u00fa, quien adem\u00e1s vivi\u00f3 una jornada muy especial al hacer su debut en el ciclismo competitivo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seg\u00fa tuvo un estreno so\u00f1ado al conquistar el primer lugar de la categor\u00eda E-Bike Competitivo Femenino de los 65 kil\u00f3metros, con un tiempo de 2:19:37.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El podio femenino de esta categor\u00eda lo completaron Tracy Barboza Arias, segundo lugar con 2:48:40, y Mar\u00eda Mata Ram\u00edrez, tercera con 2:58:16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 La competencia cont\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n con la participaci\u00f3n del excampe\u00f3n mundial Peter Sagan y del italiano Daniel Oss, quienes fueron parte de esta gran fiesta del ciclismo en Guanacaste. Ambos ciclistas compartieron con los aficionados del ciclismo en las diferentes actividades que organiz\u00f3 Specialized para el p\u00fablico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oss particip\u00f3 en la modalidad de Gravel, quedando en la segunda posici\u00f3n (03:52.23), detr\u00e1s del colombiano Diyer Rinc\u00f3n del V\u00edvelo Cycling Club (3:42:39).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mej\u00eda y Quesada dominan los 120 kil\u00f3metros<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

En la distancia reina de 120 kil\u00f3metros MTB, el colombiano Luis Mej\u00eda S\u00e1nchez, del equipo Pedregal – 7C, se qued\u00f3 con la victoria en la categor\u00eda \u00e9lite masculina con un tiempo oficial de 3:53:48, con un tiempo neto de 3:53:39. El segundo lugar fue para Paolo Montoya, del Colono Bikestation k\u00f6lbi, con un tiempo neto de 3:53:38, mientras que Pablo Mudarra, tambi\u00e9n del tren rojo, ocup\u00f3 la tercera posici\u00f3n con 3:56:48.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En la categor\u00eda \u00e9lite femenina, Gloriana Quesada, del Colono Bikestation k\u00f6lbi, se llev\u00f3 la victoria con un tiempo neto de 4:38:27. Quesada protagoniz\u00f3 un cerrado final con Cristel Espinoza, quien obtuvo el segundo lugar con el mismo tiempo neto de 4:38:27. El tercer puesto fue para Adriana Rojas, con 4:45:18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La carrera de ciclismo m\u00e1s esperada de Costa Rica cont\u00f3 con el aval de la Federaci\u00f3n Costarricense de Ciclismo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
