Con una trayectoria muy amplia a su corta edad, la piloto costarricense Sof\u00eda Calder\u00f3n, regresa a las competiciones del Kartismo como representante de Awesome Race Wear, afrontar\u00e1 este fin de semana uno de los retos m\u00e1s importantes de su carrera al participar en el Campeonato Latinoamericano de Kartismo 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El mismo se disputar\u00e1 del 15 al 17 de mayo en el circuito P1 Speedway, en Parque Diversiones. Calder\u00f3n ha sido vital en representar a Costa Rica Con apenas 13 a\u00f1os, donde ha destacado tanto a nivel nacional como internacional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Actualmente es una las principales figuras emergentes del kartismo nacional y regional, gracias a una trayectoria que ya incluye t\u00edtulos en categor\u00edas Mini Rok, campeonatos centroamericanos y destacadas actuaciones internacionales.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La piloto costarricense asegur\u00f3 sentirse motivada de cara a esta nueva competencia internacional, donde buscar\u00e1 representar de la mejor manera al pa\u00eds ante pilotos de toda Latinoam\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


\u201cSe siente muy bien. Es un honor para m\u00ed poder representar al pa\u00eds e intentaremos dar nuestro mejor esfuerzo. Han sido bastantes semanas de entrenamiento y carreras, lo cual nos ha mantenido en constancia para poder concentrarnos en cada competencia<\/em>\u201d,

A nivel internacional, Sof\u00eda fue reconocida con el FIA Americas Award 2025, premio que destaca a los j\u00f3venes talentos m\u00e1s sobresalientes del automovilismo en la regi\u00f3n. Adem\u00e1s, obtuvo el primer lugar del Campeonato National Series Skapa de kartismo paname\u00f1o junto al equipo Panam\u00e1 Karting y alcanz\u00f3 el tercer puesto en el Centroam\u00e9rica ASN Series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Actualmente forma parte del equipo FMV Racing en kartismo, uno de los m\u00e1s destacados de la regi\u00f3n, mientras que en automovilismo contin\u00faa su proceso de formaci\u00f3n junto al equipo Apex 70.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Para esta temporada, Calder\u00f3n cuenta adem\u00e1s con el respaldo de Awesome Race Wear, firma especializada en indumentaria t\u00e9cnica personalizada para kartismo y automovilismo. La marca desarrolla trajes sublimados confeccionados con materiales resistentes a la abrasi\u00f3n, forros internos que absorben la humedad y dise\u00f1os personalizados adaptados a las necesidades de cada piloto. En su uniforme, Sof\u00eda tambi\u00e9n cuenta con el respaldo de ICEE, aliado que se suma a su crecimiento dentro del deporte motor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
